Peace Lutheran will be hosting a no-charge small group session entitled "Insight," which is one of many topics that are part of the Living Free sessions held in Fargo-Moorhead that will begin in February. This group will meet Wednesdays from 2-3 pm from February 6 through April 3.
With its emphasis on developing Christian character, "Insight" is a powerful group for those who want to prevent life-controlling problems from developing in their lives as well as for those who need to overcome a current problem.
A life-controlling problem can be:
1) Use of a substance like drugs, alcohol, food, etc.
2) The practice of a behavior (anger, shoplifting, gambling, pornography use, compulsive spending, TV watching, etc.
3) Involve an unhealthy relationship with another person (co-dependence)
Christian-based sessions offered in other locations include many topics: Facing Fear, Anxiety & Worry; Coping with Loss and Grief; Understanding Depression; Concerned Persons (for those who have a relationship with someone who is addicted); Facing Fear, Anxiety & Worry, and others.
All groups will be limited to 10 participants using a faith-based small group model. The session is free; the manual is $15 (scholarships are available). Pre-registration is required. Call the church office or Eric Johnson, Living Free Co-ordinator (701) 540-2264.
